Motorcycle Accident Recovery for Ron Hilton

Hi all, my name is Sarah and I’m fundraising for my dad. Yesterday, Sept 16, we rode in the annual Port Alberni toy run for kids. Near the end of the ride, a car travelling the opposite direction, turned left right in front of my dad and I. My brakes locked up and I was lucky enough to skid around the back of her car. I then watched the car collide with my dad in my mirror. I’ve never been as scared as I was running to him laying motionless in the road.

He has suffered a shattered knee, which is in 4-5 pieces, a broken femur, 4 broken ribs, and a very deep gash in his arm which was exposing muscle and tendon. We’re extremely lucky to still have him with us.

He has been shipped to Nanaimo Hospital and will likely have to undergo several surgeries. He is a long haul trucker and will not be able to return to work for quite some time.

I am hoping this fund will alleviate medical costs, lost wages, travel expenses, potential lawyer costs, and whatever else he may need.

In this moment he is in surgery for his knee, I will keep everyone updated as I know more.
