March for our Leslie - Honoring the Derby Family

It is with tears and sadness that we started this page, in response to the sudden & unexpected passing of Leslie Derby. Our good friend, hobby mentor and supreme family man, Tom Derby, has lost his wife and best friend. Nobody expected, one hour after stepping off a plane from Disneyland, that a blood clot would take her from us.

 

Leslie Derby was an extraordinary person. She was a joyously devoted mother, a loving wife and a caring friend. Her sense of humor was well known and infectious; but she had a serious side as well. Leslie was extremely passionate about putting a permanent end to gun violence. She and her oldest daughter, Annabel, were proud participants in the “March for our Lives”, a movement to support victims of gun violence and change gun policies far and wide.

 

In lieu of cards or flowers, Tom is personally asking YOU to make an impactful donation to this worthy and necessary cause. While we respect the privacy of Tom and his family during this difficult time, this would be a great opportunity to show him we are thinking about him.

 

To be clear, this is not political. If you love guns, but you also love Tom, make a significant donation. If you hate guns, make a significant donation. If you are on the fence, support the man that has supported all of us for so long and make a significant donation.

 

During these kind of difficult times, we all want to do whatever we can to help. Many of us spend time stewing over how to help. In this case it is crystal clear. Please donate as much as you can and feel free to leave your name and some kind words or just go anonymous if that suits you better.
