(Half) marathon for St Pauls Adventure Playground

Tax deductible
On 11 April fire took hold of a part of St Paul's Adventure Playground. This is one of inner city Bristol's sanctuaries for young people to come and play, make friends, learn skills, graze a knee, give their parents some down time, take refuge from the bustle of town. I have personally worked with, played with and know so many families for whom this Playground means more than just a Playground. When the lockdown restrictions are lifted, many families in St Paul's, which is one of the most diverse, colourful, (and also lower income) neighbourhoods in the country will still face the same barriers to accessing the great British outdoors that they always have... the Playground will be even more important to their community.

What I will do

On Saturday the 24th of April I will run from my house a few minutes from the Playground to Warleigh Weir (a distance of just over 15 miles) to raise money for St Paul's Adventure Playground, and also raise awareness of the inequalities that many of its young residents face in accessing nature based and creative activities. Please give whatever you can. All the money will go directly to the Ape Project CIC, who run the Playground.

What I will then do!

I will then run back on Sunday or Monday, seeing as there is almost no public transport. So in total I will be running an ultra marathon in 2 days.

Keep dreaming, keep fighting, keep loving.
