Kerry Warburton- Terminal Brain Tumor Fundraiser

Hi everyone and thank you for viewing this page. I am trying to raise £ 50,000 for Kerry as she is terminal with a stage 4 Glioblastoma which is a brain tumor with not a very good life expectancy. We first found out 2 years ago as Kerry started to have seizures and just after Christmas that year our lives got turned upside down. Kerry had a 5×5×5 cm tumor which they wanted to operate on within 4 weeks. She has an awake craniotomy and during this surgery, she lost the ability to speak ( not a single word) It took us a few months to teach her again but you she never got it back fully, she got roughly 70% of her vocabulary back. Then she was struck with covid and spent 12 days in lincoln on her own on machine after machine as she could not breathe. Oh it doesn't stop there, 2 weeks after that she got a brain infection and her head and face swelled up massively which required her head to be opened up again to clear the infection. Luckily this could be treated at home with antibiotics. No soonerhad she recover from this she got swelling on the brain, back to the hospital again, all in the space of 6 months. As you can see i have a real life wonder woman on my hands haha.
The seizures continued but alot less than before and the results came back that it was stage 2 brain tumor which is not the best but we feared the worst. We continued on with our lives for the next 6 months and had a new addition to the family Ellana. That was june 2022, in the August 2022 was the next mri. This is when my world fell apart. It had progressed to stage for and she woukd require high doses of chemo and radiotherapy in November which she did like a true wonder woman. She lost 90% of her hair and it still hasnt grown back bht she is still marching on.
THe doctor had already told us that this treatment was to try to slow the growth if the tumor but she had a few short years left.
She cannot have no more radiotherapy now as it kills the good brain cells aswell as the cancerous ones. There is however 2 ground breaking treatments that are not available on the nhs whichnis what im fundraising for. The first is proton beam therapy which can blast a form of radiation to kill the tumor but dosent effect the good brain cells amd would prolong her life massivley which cost £48,000 The second is only available in germany and is called stem cell therapy which trains your immune system to recognise the camcerius cells amd basically kill them off.
What i am going to do on the 4th of May 2023 is walk from Lincoln castle to my home which is a half marathon with the equivalent of what kerry weighs on my back.
Gravity will be trying to pull me into the ground just like this tumor is trying to out her in the ground but we are going to defy both hopefully with the help of tou guys.
Our favourage song is ( I need a hero by Cindy Lauper) and kerry need me to be her white knight amd raise this money. I will be doing it fully dressed in a white knight outfit. If i am successful in this fundraiser i hope to help other people in need of raising money for treatment that is not on the nhs This is the definition of a white knight.
