Strength of the Soul

A wise teacher once told me that if I wanted to be of service to the world, I had to first allow myself to be served. Because if I wanted to give to others, I had to first know what it felt like for others to give to me.

Profound, simple, yet powerful words, words I still struggle to embody. For it is so much easier to give it away, than to ask to be given to instead.

But "“ my desire to grow in order to serve, to then share what I have learned with others, is always greater than any fear or discomfort that may get in the way. And so "“ I humbly transcend my reservations, as I reach out to you, my community at large, asking for your support.

I have an amazing opportunity to travel to the Sripuram Ashram in Peedam, India with my teacher, Shakti Durga, to spend time on retreat with another amazing Guru and teacher "“ Sri Sakthi Amma, the embodiment of Narayani, or the Divine Mother. This Strength of the Soul Retreat, scheduled for February 2 "“ 12, 2014 is being described as a "Journey of Self-Empowerment and Illumination." From the moment I first heard of this, something in my heart began to stir, as if it knew that this was the next step on my journey of service and growth.

To be courageous means to step out in spite of fear, rather than waiting for fear to subside. Because only by acting in spite of fear does fear lose its hold on us. Courageously, I have committed to attending this retreat, even though my available funds are less than what is required. Always the student first, so that I can be the teacher second, I am embodying what I teach, and stepping out in faith that the funds will become available to me. That does not mean that one sits and waits. That means that one moves forward, with courage and strength, doing what is needed as it becomes identified, and doing so with grace and ease.

Looking to receive your support, but also wanting to give something in return, I am offering a full energy healing in exchange for a donation of any amount towards my trip. And I truly mean ANY AMOUNT. Because when funds are given freely from the heart, they are valuable beyond measure. It is the exchange of love, not the exchange of currency, that will make all the difference to me. And that is what I wish to honor and celebrate. I offer my work both remotely by phone or by Skype, or in person at my Rhinebeck office, and there is no difference in effectiveness.

To make things easy for you, I have arranged two ways to donate. You may donate through my website at:

http://www.centerforauthenticliving.org/Healing.html

There you will also find a complete explanation about the nature of my work. If you wish to donate in this way, simply click the PAY NOW button on that page, and you will be able to enter any amount of your choosing.

For those of you who would prefer to make a donation whose amount will remain hidden from me, I have arranged for donations to also be made through an online donation site:

http://www.gofundme.com/jude-Smith

Donations will be monitored by my dear friend, Rev. Chris Schmieder, who will let me know that a donation has been made so that I may schedule a healing with you. The amount of your donation will be added into the total amount without itemization.

Upon making a donation, I will contact you to schedule an appointment for our healing work, which I call Finding Center. Healings typically take about an hour, and clients have described them as being transformational opportunities to strengthen the deepest parts of who you are, in order to more gracefully approach life's rewards and challenges. To give you a sense of the experience, I share with you (with permission) the eloquent words of a recent client, who captured so well the very heart of my work:

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for our glorious healing last night. You were the unconditional soul of patience in a world of "hurry up and get it done" and because of that, you were able to bring me to a place where little girls can trust and let go of their burdens without the fear of imposing or taking more than our share.

It is how I envision the perfect healing; opening up through trusting and non-judgmental discussion, then entering into a state of pure relaxation that allows you to go deep into the emotional body and release those hidden masses of pain and then be welcomed back by loving conversation to a less challenging world than the one you left...my cup runneth over beloved sister, my cup runneth over."

If you would like to make a donation but don't wish to receive a healing, every little bit will make a major difference, and you will have my gratitude in place of my work, and donations can be made on either site.

Thank you, dear community, for your love and support. You have helped make me into who I am. I relish the opportunity to once again stretch and grow, and to then bring back an expanded awareness to give it back to all of you.

Much love,
Jude (Saraswati)
