Jon Abreu memorial fund
Donation protected
This GoFundMe page has been set-up to help assist the wife and children of Chef Jon Abreu. Chef had been very recently laid-off due to the pandemic, and lost all health coverage, including life insurance.
Chef Abreu passed away suddenly on Tuesday night 10/27, leaving behind his wife and 2 young children, Hailey and Austin, and a great legacy as a husband, father, friend, and beloved FLIK family member.
“Chef Jon loved cooking, you could see the passion in his eyes with every dish he made.”
Chef started with FLIK as a grill cook in July 2016, and quickly moved into the lead cook position. Jon then accepted the position of sous chef at NCL in 2018, before being promoted to chef manager at Florida Blue Miami in May of 2019.
Jon was funny, witty, loved super heroes, music and could quote any movie! He bonded with everyone he met, and will be missed by so many – family, clients and customers alike.
If you are able to contribute, no amount is too small, to help support Chef’s family in covering expenses, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and stay safe.
