My Dad's Funeral Funds

Anyone who really knows me knows that my father and I were everything to one another. If you don't know me, my name is James and I was the only child of a single father. He died early on the morning of December 29th. He died suddenly.

In the wake of this catastrophic loss, I find myself unprepared, at a loss, for how to continue. Of course, I wish I had my Dad back, for a hug, for a minute, to answer all of the questions that will remain forever unanswered. More immediately, though, I find myself at an immense and, frankly, terrifying financial loss when it comes to the cost of my father's funeral services.

My family and I estimate that the costs will amount to something over $7000. Any amount that you could contribute to help defray the cost would be a weight lifted and a struggle saved.

I want to thank everyone who has been calling, texting, messaging, and posting their condolences to me and those around me. Words are insufficient for the expression of gratitude right now.
