Hills for Health

The Challenge:
Running all the hills of the Beaches Toronto, from Queen St. to Kingston Rd. twice, then the length of the beach, totaling to 111km with 1381m of elevation gain. All in under 12 hours, February 28, 2021
Why:
Mental health is one of the most important issues we face. In the past years, I have seen loved ones and people close to me struggle with mental health. I am fortunate to have running as a tool that has helped me find mental stability. I want to take steps to build support and spread hope for all those dealing with this isolating issue. It’s facilities like Toronto’s Centre for Addiction and Mental Health where people can find the help they need. They provide a diverse network of clinical care support programs with the goal of effective personalized treatment. This run is a way to raise funds in support of CAMH and their cause to help overcome mental health problems.
About me:
22 years old, I’m a recent Queen’s grad and ultramarathon runner, looking to do some good and sweat a bit too. :) I’ve ran two ultra marathons (160k & 125k) and a sub 3-hour marathon. I’ve also completed the Canadian Ski Marathon Gold (168k of skiing over two days sleeping outside in -35 Celsius) and 100km of mountain biking in a day (dawn to dusk) among other adventures...
