Single mother diagnosed with cancer

I am a single mom with my youngest still in school and I was diagnosed this January with Leukemmia, chronic with no remission.  I lost  my management position when the recession hit and have been able to find only part time work since then. All of my belongings were lost when fire broke out in the apartment behind me two years ago and it has been a great hardship on me and my entire family. Thank God, no one was hurt.
 I have no insurance and am unable to return to any kind of work for an undetermined period of time. I have exhausted all resources of financial aid from family and so am reaching out for help.  I started aplying for disability in February but my case has not yet been accepted (or, God forbid denied) and even if it is accepted, the Federal Government has six months to begin assistance.
I would so appreciate any help I can get to keep food on the table and a roof aver my head.  God bless you all!  Marlene
