Venkata (33yrs old) was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer only 7 weeks ago. The cancer is in his bones, liver, lungs and pancreas. The cancer has spread aggressively and his life expectancy has now been dramatically cut short.
We have been very lucky to have met Venkata during an IT Program in Adelaide where he soon became a very close friend and part of our family. During the past two months we have experienced first hand the excruciating pain and grief he is enduring and we have never heard him say "why me" or any complaints.
He has applied for and been denied three times by the Australian Government to allow his wife and young son to be granted access to come back to Adelaide to be with him on compassionate grounds. Having only been in Adelaide for eight months, Venkata has a few close friends to care for him but he is alone and needs his family, as we all would in this time.
We urgently need funds, the funds will go towards;
· Support for his wife and son
· Airfare back to India
· Funds for palliative medical treatment in India as he has no medical insurance, without this he will not be treated
· Incurred hospital medical expenses due to his medical fund disputing his cancer as a pre-existing ailment.
We are respecting his wishes to not post any photos of himself or his family.
