Pearl Pinson was only 15 years old when she disappeared on May 25, 2016, while walking to her school bus stop in Vallejo, California. Near the pedestrian over-crossing connecting Taylor Avenue/Home Acres and Lewis Avenue, Pearl was abducted in broad daylight. Despite years of searching and investigating, Pearl has never been found. There have been no remains recovered and no opportunity for our family to give Pearl the goodbye she deserves.

Pearl is far more than a missing-person case. She was a daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend, and now would be an aunt, with a bright smile, a loving heart, and a future full of dreams. She loved making people laugh, cared deeply about others, and brought joy to those around her.

To honor Pearl's life and ensure she is never forgotten, I am working to create Pearl's Place, a permanent memorial consisting of two plaques located on opposite sides of the pedestrian over-crossing near where she was last seen. These plaques will serve as a place of remembrance while also promoting awareness and child safety.

This project has received the support of the Mayor and Vallejo City Council. Their support reflects a community that continues to remember Pearl and recognizes the importance of preserving her story for future generations.

We are seeking community support to help fund the creation and installation of both memorial plaques. The total project cost is $4,900, covering plaque production, materials, installation, and related expenses.

While a plaque cannot bring Pearl home, it can ensure that her name, her story, and the impact she continues to have on others are never forgotten. It can help inspire conversations about child safety, missing children, and the importance of protecting future generations.
