My name is Daniel, and I’m a 22-year-old racing driver on the brink of some of the biggest opportunities of my career. But behind the scenes, I’ve been fighting a kidney condition since birth, something I’ve kept private because I never wanted it to impact how people see me.

Recently, my kidneys began to fail. I was given a choice no one my age expects to hear:

start dialysis immediately, or I would eventually pass away.

I’m now beginning dialysis and will eventually need a kidney transplant. This is the toughest moment of my life but I refuse to let it stop my future in racing, coaching, or the dream I’ve worked for since I was a kid.
