Help FTC team 8479 get to Worlds!

8479 is a FIRST FTC robotics team from Sykesville  Maryland.  The team consists of 3 seniors, 1 junior and 1 sophomore.  The team qualified for the FIRST FTC World Championship in April 2019.  They are the first  public school robotics team in their county to achieve this.  8479 is one of 200 Maryland teams that vied for 50 spots to compete in the Maryland State Championship.  At the state championship, the 8479 alliance came in second place. This secured their opportunity to attend Worlds as 1 of 7 Maryland teams attending the event. The Worlds Championship will have an estimated 30,000 students and 74 countries In attendance at the event in Detroit.  This will be the first time 8479 has ever been invited to the Worlds Championship.  In preparing for the championship the team will need supplies to build a pit booth, purchase banners and team uniforms.
