Help Miah Represent Australia in Spain 2025

Hi, I’m Miah – and I’ve been selected to represent Australia at the 2025 World Trail and Mountain Running Championships in Spain.

I’m 20 years old, originally from Port Macquarie, NSW and now living in Victoria.

Running started as a way to care for my mental health and recovery. At first, it was simply about movement — something steady and grounding during a time when I really needed it.

Over time, it grew into something more. I found the trails, and with them, a whole new kind of freedom. Being out in nature helped me reconnect with my body and reminded me what it feels like to belong in myself and in the world.

This year, I ran my first 50km ultra. That race challenged every part of me — and somewhere deep in it, I realised how far I’d come.

Strength, for me, isn’t about force or pushing harder. It’s about showing up with self-respect, patience, and love — especially when things get tough.

Now, unexpectedly and incredibly, I’ve earned a place on the Australian team.

And I’m proud. Proud to represent my country. Proud to be a young woman in sport.

And proud to show other girls that you can rise, even when the path isn’t perfect.

This opportunity is entirely self-funded — so I’m inviting my community to help me get there.

The costs include international flights, accommodation, team travel, insurance, entry fees, gear, and nutrition.
