this fall, i’m moving to europe to begin an erasmus mundus joint master’s program in urban planning and sustainable post-industrial development. i am one of 60 selected from nearly 1,350 applicants, and i’m raising money to help cover tuition, living expenses, and the costs of moving and studying across several european countries.
because of the international structure of the program, i’m not able to use the u.s. federal student loans that would normally help fund a master’s degree. i’m contributing my savings, applying for scholarships, planning to work part-time, and selling my things before i leave, but i still need help closing the gap.
i’ve wanted to study urban planning for a long time, and this program is an incredibly good fit for both my personal interests and the work i hope to do professionally. the program focuses on how cities adapt and rebuild after major economic and industrial change, with sustainability at the center, and i’ll be studying at universities in germany, ireland, croatia, and belgium, among others.
most of you probably know how passionate i am about transit, urban planning, and design in general. i’ve been interested in cities, transit, housing, infrastructure, and the way places function for a very long time. this is my chance to finally study it professionally.
i’m incredibly grateful for any support you’d like to give to help me get there. and if you’re able to dig deep and give a little more, it will genuinely make a difference.
thank you for helping me make this happen.
