Maddie Lynn Chan is one of those rare artists who brings light, rhythm, and soul with her wherever she goes. A gifted painter and a singer-songwriter with over 20 original songs tucked away, she’s been quietly creating, healing, and inspiring everyone around her. But right now, she’s stuck — and she needs our help.

After a tough winter, Maddie Lynn’s facing a brutal catch-22. Due to a miscommunication and a missed payment, ICBC charged her for a full year of insurance — and now she owes $2,000 before she can legally drive or renew her license. Her van, which is both her home and her way of getting to gigs, galleries, and work, broke down and needs repairs. On top of that, she recently sprained her ankle and can’t take on physical work to make ends meet.

This GoFundMe is a lifeline. It’s not just about clearing a debt — it’s about getting Maddie Lynn moving again. This summer, her dream is to share her music and art across the Gulf Islands and beyond: Salt Spring Island, Vancouver Island, Hornby, Denman, Gabriola etc. She’s got a whole world of creativity to offer, and all she needs is that one push to get back on track.
