My name is Angela, and together with my partner, we are proud parents to our brave little boy, Kai and his sister Iyla.

Kai is 22 months old and has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, Ataxia, Profound hearing loss, vision challenges, Hypermobility, and low muscle tone. These conditions affect his balance, coordination, and ability to communicate. Kai never stops trying. Every day, he fights to do the things other children his age do naturally.

We want to give Kai the very best chance of learning to stand independently and, one day, take his first steps without support.

We have found a highly specialised physiotherapy approach called DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention). This therapy is designed for children with neurological conditions like Kai’s. It helps build new brain pathways for balance, strength, and motor control — and has helped many children who were told they might never walk.

Unfortunately, DMI therapy is not offered on the NHS, and the cost is more than we can manage alone.

Each intensive block costs £1,000, and Kai needs multiple rounds for this to be beneficial.

Our goal is to raise £4,000 to fund these Intensive DMI therapy blocks.

Every single pound will go directly towards Kai’s therapy, helping him develop the strength, stability, and confidence he needs to stand and eventually walk.

Kai has shown us time and time again that he has the determination. Now we want to give him the opportunity.
