My name is Beth. I'm reaching out to our community during the Christmas season in hopes you'll find it in your heart to help our friend, Eric Bock. Last night, there was a fire at his home, and his home and everything in it was a total loss. Eric did not have any insurance to cover his belongings as he had a serious injury 2 years ago which left him with a traumatic brain injury. Eric is still dealing with hardships from his brain injury, and as of last night, Eric has lost everything in his home. The fire department fought the fire until 5 a.m. They had to bring equipment in to knock the roof down as it kept reigniting. At 7 a.m., after the fire department had left the scene, it ignited again and was once again extinguished, but the damage is total devastation and loss.
The good news is, Eric and his beloved dog were not home at the time and are safe.
The bad news is, Eric has lost all his clothes and household belongings.
Eric is in need of warm clothes, bedding, household items, and funds to find a new roof to reside in. MN winters are not kind.
Any help will be used to help Eric replace necessary items for basic needs and to allow him to find housing and continue his care for his TBI.
Anyone who knows Eric knows he is the first person to offer a helping hand, whether it is helping with a hunting shack, cutting wood, fixing a vehicle, or anything to help a friend in need. He's always been there to help anyone.
I'm hoping we can come together to help Eric in his time of need.
Eric does not have a bank account right now since his brain injury and has asked that I collect the funds so we can purchase the items he needs and find him housing.
Thank you in advance from Eric and his family for any help. Please pray for Eric and share even if you are unable to help at this time.
