To address the current hardships facing our restaurant industry and the growing need to provide nutritious meals to the community, Chef Hui started the Give & Go Community Meal Program.
Thanks to our founding sponsors, the Johnson Ohana Foundation, Wholesome Wave, and our fiscal sponsor Hawai'i Community Foundation, some of our local restaurants who are currently offering takeout or delivery options will be offered a stipend to produce a set amount of additional meals to be donated to communities in need. Most meals will be made using local produce in order to support our agriculture community too.
As restaurants promote this program to their networks, a portion of proceeds from each customer to-go order will support these collaborative efforts. By purchasing a meal from participating restaurants, customers will amplify the Give & Go Community Meal Program, creating a sense of connectivity through sharing ALOHA one meal at a time.
Our goal through this Give & Go Program is to keep our farmers farming, chefs cooking, and communities eating.
