Fundraising for Hope - Urgent Emergancy Funds

Hello everyone! My name is Hope Lopez, and I am 25 years old. For the first time, I'm reaching out for help from my beautiful community. This is very vulnerable for me to ask for help, but I am courageous for taking a chance to help my body heal. I need your help.

Every day, I am suffering from extreme body pain caused by Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Endometriosis, Scoliosis, and Asthma. Currently, I see five specialists (and counting), excluding therapy and psychiatry. Additionally, I suffer from many mental health issues, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and other conditions. My case worker and I have applied for SSI/disability benefits, which will take some time.

A couple of days ago, I got kicked out of my abusive mother's house because of my unwillingness to mask my symptoms any longer. The environment was overtly ableist, and she was not accommodating to my medical needs. I will no longer have any shame for who I am, especially if I can't control it. Never did I see myself suffering this much at such a young age.

I am asking my community to raise funds to help pay for a portion of my medical expenses and help me get back on my feet from homelessness. Each cent will go towards basic necessities (food, water, clothes, hygiene, etc.), copays for doctors' appointments/physical therapy, and vital medication. Things are hard. Reaching out for help is harder for me. However, I am a brave warrior wanting to move forward in life and to continue being an inspirational filmmaker while running a nonprofit organization.
