Funding Alicias post lockdown activities

Donation protected
On the 29th March our strong, funny, beautiful and talented friend Alicia Harrison turned 30 years old. Your 30th birthday during lock down is hard enough for anyone, but sadly shortly after her birthday Alicia found out that her on going battle with cancer was terminal, and health professionals have estimated that she only has 12 months left with us. This news is the worst thing anybody can ever hear, but to hear it during lock down, knowing that you cannot visit your friends or family and knowing that your precious time is being restricted even more by Covid-19 guidelines just adds to the struggle. When Alicia first got diagnosed with cancer, we managed to raise some money which helped her manage the transition of having to give up work and loosing her hair due to chemotherapy, another huge thank you to everyone who was able to donate to that, the money has been able to support her through the last year and was so greatly appreciated. This time we want the funds to just go on fun things which she will enjoy. As we (Alicias friends) cannot hug her and be with her as we want to be at the moment we have set up this Go Fund Me Page to try and raise some funds for when the lock down restrictions are lifted. As Alicia is in a high risk category, she will be one of the last groups of people allowed to move freely as lockdown restrictions are lifted, and we want to make sure what ever amount of time she has left with us, is filled with new experiences and the best times for her. Alicia is an avid musician, with a passion for watching live music and also also performing her own music under the title ‘Neighbourhood Baby’, if you want to see how talented and amazing she is, visit her facebook page https://www.facebook.com/neighbourhoodbaby/ Alicia loves music, gigs and festivals. hey tickets to the MCR reunion have been rescheduled to next June and Hella mega tour where fall out boy were playing has been cancelled. These gigs would have helped to motivate her through her second lot of chemo. Music is her love, in particular Muse and Patti Smith and she would love to be able to attend some gigs/festivals again. This Go Fund Me Page will support us in making some of Alicias dreams come true such as singing on a big stage, as well as: going on a holiday with her mum, hiring a boat with friends, getting her EP done, riding a rollercoaster, riding on a log flume, sightseeing in London, watching a drag show, watching a musical, swimming with dolphins, visiting Bali, going on holiday with her friend. In addition any opportunities to help her feel beautiful such as wigs, beautiful dresses or anything to help motivate her to face the day. Alicia is also really keen to spend a lot of her time left enjoying relaxing a hot tub…..if anybody has a hot tub which they are not using and could donate to this cause then please let us know! Likewise, if you have any connection that can support us in making any of Alicias wish list happen, please let us know. This list might change as not all of these things will be possible given the uncertainties ahead, and also, as she thinks of different things that she would like to do, but this fund raiser will help to give her options so that she can do some amazing things when possible. Together we can make sure that Alicia has the means to do some incredible things, and spend time with those she loves.
