Enisa, friend and owner of Enshe Style Hair Salon was already struggling with her business due to COVID-19. Then her husband Anel passed away unexpectedly just before the new year. He was only 47 years old. Not only has Enisa lost her life partner, she has lost the stability of Anel's steady income and employer health insurance.
After surviving the Bosnian war, Anel and Enisa moved to Chicago to start a new life. Anel became a medical technician and doctors regularly requested him for their procedures. Enisa trained as a hair stylist and eventually opened her own salon. Until COVID hit her business was extremely successful. Many of us have been with her since she began cutting hair 20 years ago. Some clients who have moved out of the area still travel back a couple times a year for hair cuts.
Anel and Enisa were living the American dream. Even though COVID impacted the salon, they were making ends meet. But Anel's untimely death has taken a huge emotional and financial toll on Enisa.
We, her friends and clients, are raising money to help cover unpaid medical bills, burial costs, and to support Enisa's income loss due to COVID and the death of her husband. Please donate any amount that you are able. And please keep Enisa in your thoughts and prayers.
