As a breast cancer survivor, Teresa Murphy has turned her journey of recovery into one of empowerment—channeling her spirit into sport and joining the national movement of Breast Cancer Paddlers, a group of courageous women who defy the odds and heal through dragon boat racing.

Now, after an intense and highly competitive national selection process, Teresa has been chosen to represent the USA on the first- ever Breast Cancer Paddlers National Team at the IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships this summer in Germany!

This is an extraordinary honor—but it comes with a significant personal cost.

Unlike many national sports teams, athletes on the Breast Cancer Paddlers team must fund their own travel, equipment, uniforms, and lodging. Teresa is currently balancing her responsibilities as a full-time teacher while training rigorously for this elite-level international competition.
