Hey, I'm Brit and I'm an addict.
An addict in recovery, an addict with hope, an addict with a dream, a resilient addict.
I have struggled with addiction for my entire adult life. And not just a little weed here and there, I was a hardcore IV fentanyl and cocaine user. I was homeless. I was alone. I was lost.
I've recently got clean again, taking myself to rehab with no outside pushes, other than the sincere desire to change.
In March of 2025, CNN did a documentary on fentanyl and I allowed them to interview me. It is clear to see how much pain I was in, how very hopeless I was.
I completed a 28-day inpatient treatment and was scholarshiped into a recovery house. I go to daily AA meetings, see a private therapist, and am taking care of my health.
I am just getting my footing in reality again and have been out of work for over 5 years. I am looking for work and trying to keep my balance and feet in AA as well.
I could use some help to rebuild my life. I went to rehab with the outfit I had on and a broken soul.
I have been humbled.
