Cancer is something that truly does touch everyone. Even those who are not battling the disease themselves can name a parent, sibling, spouse, cousin, friend, or even child suffering from the effects of cancer. The Cold Tits crew is no different - we currently have group members going through treatment, as well as spouses, parents, and siblings. Some of us have lost family members. All of us know the importance of support during times of challenge.
Thus, for our third annual March Daily Dip, we are honored to support the Beth C Wright Cancer Resource Center. Every single day for the month of March, at least one member of our group will dip into the icy waters of Northern Maine to support their efforts.
But wait! There's more. This year we are upping the challenge - in hopes of upping your desire to donate! In addition to the daily dips, by at least one member of our group each day, we are also pledging to the following:
- 10 members of our group will dedicate themselves to dipping for all 31 days of the month
- Collectively, we will dip at least 150 times during the course of the month
- Several members of our group are pledging to not only dip but also SWIM 100m every single day during the month, for a total of 3,100m swam during the course of the month.
The Mission of the Beth C Wright Cancer Resource Center: To offer hope, knowledge, and support to cancer patients, their families, caregivers, and friends by providing a source of information, social services, and compassion through all stages of the cancer journey. They serve people throughout every community in Hancock and Washington counties. Learn more here.
