Am 7. August 2017 hatte Corin Konradsheim (23-Jahre jung!), seinerseits Eishockeyspieler (u.a. EC Red Bull Salzburg, Graz99ers, Dornbirn Bulldogs, ...) einen sehr schweren Autounfall und war danach ein Monat im Koma. Es war lange Zeit sehr ungewiss ob und wie er wieder aufwachen wird. Er hat gekämpft wie ein Löwe und hat mittlerweile schon riesige Fortschritte gemacht. Anfangs konnte er nicht einmal schlucken, geschweige denn reden oder sich auch nur etwas zu bewegen. Mehr als 8 Monate sind seit dem Unfall vergangen und nur durch seinen unglaublichen Willen, die Liebe seiner Familie und Freunde und die wirklich gute medizinische Betreuung ist Corin langsam aber doch am Weg der Besserung. Nichtsdestotrotz wird es vermutlich noch Jahre dauern bis er wieder vollständig genesen ist. Natürlich ist das auch ein schier unmöglicher finanzieller Aufwand für die Familie und es wird hier jede mögliche Hilfe benötigt um Corin´s Weg zurück einfacher zu gestalten. On August 7th, 2017, 23-year old Corin Konradsheim, a young and aspiring ice-hockey player (formerly EC Red Bull Salzburg, Graz99ers, Dornbirn,...) had a terrible car accident and was in a coma for about one month. It was uncertain for a long time if and how he would wake up. He was fighting like a lion and continues to claw his way back into life. Corin has made incredible progress already, especially considering the fact that he was unable to swallow for several months, unable to talk and also unable to move any body parts. Over 8 Months have passed since the accident and only due to his incredible will to live, the love of his family and friends and the loving and professional care of his medical staff, is Corin now making progress. Nevertheless, it will likely take several years before he is fully recovered and it goes without saying that this road back is a long one that also brings along a huge financial burden. Please help ease this burden and make Corin´s Way Back easier and faster. Last but not least, my name is Bernd Brückler and I am a former teammate of Corin and also call him a good friend. I´m originally from Graz, Austria and I was fortunate enough to get to know Corin quite well during the three seasons we played alongside each other in Salzburg. These funds will be used to help this brave, young man in his quest to get back to living a quality life. After aiding with the rehab costs, it will be absolutely necessary to adapt and renovate the house to make it wheelchair accessible as well as help with continuous rehab over the next years.
