Hi my name is Chris Smith I'm 50yr old ex professional rugby league player. (Cas, St Helens, hull fc and York r. l) Unfortunately due to concussion and head injuries throughout my playing career 3 years ago I was diagnosed with early onset dementia and CTE, I've now been out of work 18 months due to my condition , I have a wife Jo and boy kaleb who I love dearly and would love to extend my time with them, through medical procedures abroad but these are expensive and out of my reach I'm hoping the rugby community can get behind me to reach my goal. The treatment is stem cell treatment in Abroad . If it prolongs my life for a bit more it's worth it. My life expectancy is 10yrs after diagnosis so I will be lucky to make it to late 50's.
