Gazans, including my sister Lina and her daughters, Malak and Alaa, can finally take a breath after two years of a live-streamed genocide.
My sister, like everyone else, was focused purely on survival, evacuating from one place to another just to stay alive.
The bombardment may have reached an end, but the suffering, loss, and pain continue.
My sister Lina lost her co-workers, her home, her furniture, and all of her belongings. Throughout it all, she never stopped healing and providing medical care to her community as a doctor.
Lina is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist who has dedicated her life to assisting pregnant women and ensuring they deliver their babies safely and healthily.
She and her daughters evacuated many times, each evacuation a memory seared by bombs and darkness, like tens of thousands of my people. They starved, struggled, and endured so many near-death experiences. Yet, despite everything she suffered through the night, she would still assist her community by morning.
I am hoping you can help me support her in continuing her vital work of healing and caring for her community, and to help her pick up the pieces of her life that were destroyed.
Please assist me in supporting my sister and nieces.
