In loving memory of our precious brother, John Doole
On the 3rd of February this year, our lives were shattered forever when we lost John in a tragic road traffic collision. A day that began like any other turned into the worst day of our lives — the day everything changed, the day our hearts broke in a way that will never fully heal.
John was the most beautiful, happiest little boy, always smiling, always laughing, and full of life. His happiness was contagious — he could brighten even the darkest room just by being in it. He had the kindest soul, the biggest heart, and a way of making everyone feel special and loved. He wasn’t just our brother, he was our world.
Since losing John, life has felt unbearably heavy. The house is quieter, the laughter is gone, and there is a constant emptiness that follows us everywhere. We miss the little things the most — his voice, his hugs, his smile, the way he made everything feel okay. There are no words strong enough to describe the pain of losing him. Our lives have been turned upside down, and nothing will ever be the same again.
In the middle of this heartbreak, we want to do something meaningful in John’s memory — something that could help save another family from experiencing this kind of pain.
We are raising funds for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, a life-saving service that provides urgent medical care at the scene of the most serious and traumatic incidents. Every single day in Northern Ireland, on average, two people find themselves in critical need of this service. Their helicopter can reach anywhere in the country in around 25 minutes, bringing a highly skilled team — including a doctor and paramedic — directly to those who need it most.
This along with our tractor/truck run on the 1st August will help raise vital funds.
They don’t just transport patients — they bring hospital-level care to the roadside, to fields, to homes — wherever tragedy strikes. They stabilise patients, give them the best possible chance, and in many cases, they save lives.
What many people don’t realise is that Air Ambulance NI is a charity. It costs around £3 million every year — over £8,000 every single day — to keep this vital service running, and it relies heavily on donations from the public to stay operational.
This fundraiser is for John — for his beautiful life, his kindness, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. But it is also for every family who might one day need this incredible service when every second counts.
We cannot change what has happened to our family, but with your help, we can honour John’s memory in a way that could help save others.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your support, and for helping us keep John’s light shining
