Nightingales UK is a group of like-minded medical professionals in Milton Combe, a small village near Plymouth in Devon.
The war in Ukraine with its terrible humanitarian crisis has compelled us to fundraise in support of the Ukrainians. We have already substantial experience with personally raising and delivering life-saving medical and humanitarian aid to the Eastern Ukrainian Hospitals in Uzhhorod, its shelters and orphanage for vulnerable children. The Uzhhorod’s people’s humble appreciation, resilience and modesty have left a deep impression and strong motivation for our continuing support.
There is now an urgent need to support our Ukrainian friends, neighbours and colleagues to rebuild their health service. With our strong medical background and experience, we believe that our personal deliveries to Ukraine will establish a supportive and nurturing friendship.
Our specific targets are:
- The Children and Adult hospitals in Uzhhorod.
- The Kharkiv City Children’s Hospital No. 16 where there is a desperate need for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases - without treatment and equipment they have no chance to survive.
- Our brave Ukrainian friends who deliver our aid to the frontline and risk their lives.
