Last year it was posted about Bobbi being diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and a GoFundMe account was started for her.  We raised a small amount of money to help her and her husband as she was not able to work anymore but at the time her husband was still bringing in some money to help supply their needs. 
Unfortunately, her husband also was just recently diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer (throat cancer).

The first suggestion was for a surgery that was to remove his larynx (voice box).  Thankfully a wonderful intern spoke up and said there may be another option and suggested a second opinion. He is working with that second option now. 
How heartbreaking to hear that you may have to have surgery that will cause your spouse, family, and friends to never hear your own beautiful voice ever again?! 

Now both are struggling through intense treatments of radiation/chemotherapy and neither one is able to work now.  Of course, finances are a major concern.  
It is so unfortunate that we can work all of our lives to build a family, home and career for ourselves but it only takes one moment for all of that to be taken away. Sometimes it is our own fault and sometimes it is not but either way NO ONE deserves to suffer through such terrible illness. 
We are asking that if it is on your heart at all, please consider giving any amount to help this family who despite all the fear, pain, heartbreak, is staying positive and believe that their community that they have given so much of their own lives into, will now step up and help them during their great time of need. 

THEIR HISTORY WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE

During Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas her and her husbands Danny and Bobbi would donate food baskets for families in need for years.
Every year Bobbi and her mother would prepare meals for the Canadian Cuban Friendship Association. Danny and Bobbi often witnessed unfair treatment/pay wages in the workplace and they fought for those who either could not or were not able to fight for themselves by successfully bringing in a union that fights for fair wages.
They both continue to fight for fair treatment as union stewards, representing all employees' rights making sure they are not violated. 

Lastly, as many of you may remember, a few years ago there were a lot of break-ins happening across the North end of Fort Erie. Danny and Bobbi spent hours of their own personal time and joined an "undercover" task force to try to assist in catching the perpetrators causing such terrible crimes.

They would go to almost any length to protect not just her family but also her community.

I believe it is time that we give some of that heart, back into their lives.

Both Danny and Bobbi have now missed a lot of work due to appointments, treatments, and hospital visits.

They are now at the point where they aren't sure how medical bills that are not covered by OHIP will be paid, how they will pay personal bills, insurances, mortgage, and even put healthy food on their table.

Please consider helping this couple financially.  We realize how hard things are right now because of Covid and the way the economy is going, but please consider... it is hard for us, imagine how hard it is for two people in the same family who are not working, struggling to survive (literally), having not just everyday bills that are piling up, but also cancer treatment bills FOR TWO pilling up.
