This fundraiser aims to raise funds for the production of a short student documentary (15 minutes), which will be produced by a group of third-year undergraduate students at the University of Lincoln as part of their graduation-year studies.

We are currently researching and developing the thematic topic of our film, which will explore the story of the musician and local punk figure, Lorraine Carter.

Having recently reformed in 2023, we'll explore Lorraine's role as a member of the local punk act Post Mortem, documenting Lorraine's experiences and struggles as the last remaining member of the band's original lineup.

Furthermore, we'll document Lorraine's experiences as a mother and practising artist, presenting the difficulties she's faced in finding purpose and balancing responsibilities. More than forty years after their initial break-up and two years since reforming, we'll document Lorraine's pursuit to reclaim her band's former success while reigniting local interest in the punk movement and its music.

To support and contextualise Lorraine's story, we hope to gather and document local stories and experiences from members and fans of the Lincolnshire punk movement, both young and old, exploring how it has shaped and influenced their lives, as well as its lasting local legacy, which remains today.

At its core, this film will provide a brief glimpse into the dynamics of subcultures and their impact on the human need to belong. Furthermore, it will provide a powerful portrait of creative identity and its transcendental effects upon our lives.
