The Dorset Indie Film Festival is organised by the FdA Film Students at Weymouth College, marking the festival's sixth consecutive year. In the upcoming festival, the focus will be on showcasing local films, although submissions from global filmmakers are also welcome.
The goal is to promote the inclusive idea that anyone has the potential to become a filmmaker. Notably, we have been pleased to receive a significant number of submissions within the first week of pre-production.
Last year's event drew an audience of over 120 individuals, and for the upcoming festival, the target is to surpass this with an audience of 160 or more.
To achieve this, we, the organisers are seeking funding through a crowdfunding campaign. The contributions received will be allocated towards securing a suitable venue, developing promotional materials, and ensuring an overall captivating and enjoyable experience for the audience.
