Exhibition "“ Africa through the eyes of a child!

I would like to сreate a series of 30 portraits of children from the orphanage «Mums care» in the city Senya Beraku in Ghana and a preparation for exhibition-sale for a fundraising to help children.

Hi!
My name is Irina. I am an artist and art is my passion. As far as I remember myself, I always wanted to paint. Playing with colors, movement of the brush on the canvas, the energy from a finished art work - All this is leads to a continuous ecstasy.


Most of the time, I paint portraits, especially kids. Because that's what I like to do and that's my job, but most of all, because kids are the quintessence of life energy, that simply asks to be painted. I am myself a mother of three kids.

Recently, I discovered about this amazing place - kindergarten Mums Care in Ghana, in Africa. If someone still did not hear about this country, where the average salary is 100EUR and in many areas people are surviving on 1-2 Euros a days, lots of children stay alone, without parents. Couple of years ago a shelter for kids was built in that city, where kids without parents were brought.

Now there are 30 pupils, boys and girls from 6 months old to 14 years old and each one of them has their own personality, talents and dreams about a better life. Every one of them has their own sad story from the past, all of them do not have parents and need affection, attention, healthy nutrition and the most basic "“ clean drinking water.



I am a simple artist, but would like to help them the way I can.

The goal of my project "“ to get the attention of society to the problem of these kids. That is the reason why I want to paint a portrait of each one of the kids that are now in the shelter and to organize exhibitions in multiple cities in Belgium, so that people can see with their own eyes the beauty and the personality of these wonderful kids that I will try to deliver in each of my paintings.
The second goal is to help them financially.

Now these kids have water and electricity, though couple of years ago they did not have even that. But the water from the pipes is unfiltered, dirty and contagious and because of that children suffer from skin and infectious diseases. They require clean water to survive. Therefore, funds raised on this website and from the exhibitions will be used to purchase special water filters.

That is the least I can do in this situation.
