Help Erik March The Cadets

Last summer, I had the opportunity to be a member of The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps, based out of Allentown, PA. From May to June, I, along with the 149 other members of the corps worked from sunrise to sunset to learn and perfect a 12 minute show performed on football field. For the first 30 days, we were in Johnstown, PA, where we spent 12 hours each day rehearsing and learning our show. For the final 60 days, we traveled around the country, sleeping on coach buses and high school gym floors, rehearsing for a few hours in the morning before packing up and driving to the night's competition that we'd perform in with other corps from around the country, then getting back on the buses and driving to the next site. We traveresed the country, performing for hundreds of thousands of people in over 30 competitions, culminating in the Drum Corps International World Championships in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The summer I was able to experience with The Cadets was truly life-changing. I made incredible friends as the 150 of us bonded over snowy rehearsals, 3 hour rehearsal blocks in 100+ degree Texas weather, and the constant drive to become the best we could be, both as performers and as humans. Being around such talented people inspired me and pushed me to want to be the best I could be. The lessons I learned and the friendships I made last summer will last the rest of my life, but I'm fortunate enough to have 3 more summers I can march with The Cadets.
Membership in The Cadets, as well as any drum corps, involves significant costs. Costs to pay for staff, buses, housing sites, food, equipment, costs to attend and travel to/from camps, and other expenses total over $4,000 each year. On top of paying for a college education, this is a lot of money to be spending, which is why I'm asking for your help. Any amount you could give to help make another summer with The Cadets possible for me will help immensely, even if it's a few dollars. I would not be where I am today without the help of so many incredible people that have supported me in so many ways, and I would be eternally grateful if you could help make being a member of the 2015 Cadets possible for me.
