Emosi - changing children's lives

Emosi is our brand-new assessment and therapy centre for children with emotional and communication challenges. It is located next to the multi-award-winning Ellesmere Children's Centre, where we provide pre-school care for children not just from our local community but from right across Sheffield.

We plan to provide support for pre-school to 12-year-old children from all walks of life, communities and cultures that are struggling to engage with their families, schools and the wider community due to emotional challenges over which they have no control. 

On average, three children in every classroom will have an unrecognised mental health issue - they all suffer in silence. We want to stop that happening with our children in Sheffield. 

We have the facilities but we need to raise £60,000 to pay for a team of professional therapist who will work with our children, understand their needs and provide them and their parents or carers with a structured plan of support and care that will help them overcome their challenges. 

With your help we can do that. We can stop children suffering in silence. We can stop children struggling with education, socialising and leading fully engaged, fruitful and happy lives. 

Our aim is to pilot this work so that the benefits can be proven and then roll the service out across the UK.
