After 11 years of loving cultivation, the time has come to say goodbye to my darling dreadlocks - all in the name of raising some well-deserved monies for the incredible Macmillan Cancer Trust!
We are lucky to live in a society where treatments for cancer are becoming increasingly effective and available, and many people can come through the other side of their illness and enjoy a long life.

The reality though, is that we do not currently have a cure. Not everyone gets better. So it goes...
My big sister is one of these people. My big sister has four beautiful children, an adoring husband, and a siamese kitten that I am beyond jealous of! My big sister has terminal cancer and will not be getting better.
Since her diagnosis, Macmillan Cancer Trust have been supportive to my sister and her gorgeous family in more ways than I can name, and with donations making up 98% of the charity's income it is vital that people like you and me contribute what we can where we can.
Needless to day, my big sister is the bravest person that I know. I can only hope to one day emulate the grace, honesty and courage that she has shown me, and although this gesture is obviously nowhere near that, this is the first step on my journey to honour my big sister's awe-inspiring attitude and vibrancy.
Not everyone gets better, but Macmillan ensure that everyone, no matter the diagnosis, gets to live.
