Emma Goes To India!

It has always been a goal and dream of mine to serve at the school my Grandma Carol and Aunt Lori opened in Assam India, called Grace English School. They started a school for under privileged children over 10 years ago and this year have 115 children in attendance. Their schooling is absolutely free! They get nutritious meals, uniforms and school supplies all due to generous supporters. Most children in India can not afford to go to school, consequently their illiteracy makes them vulnerable to human trafficking and a life of poverty.  Grace English School teaches them to read, write, do math and even speak English. The skill of speaking English opens many new doors for them and allows them to potentially earn more.  They have many success stories and many children now have a hope and future all due to a proper education. I will be serving in many ways but primarily focusing on the pre-school class, teaching nutrition and sports.
