There has been a deadly fire in The Current, North Eleuthera, The Bahamas that has claimed one life, destroyed several homes, uprooting at least nine individuals. This is a terrible tragedy and any donation received here will be going to the families that are grieving and looking to rebuild as they have lost everything. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage is expected. As a family friend of one of the families involved, I am deeply troubled this Thanksgiving Day. If you google The Current, Eleuthera you will get an idea of how small this community is. With a population of not even 200 citizens, the community is small but well kept in its values. The community is one big family and they are all feeling this loss today.
Unlike most people here in our great country of the US, these families won't have an insurance company to help them out, or many people coming to assist in rebuilding. They survive by the strong bonds they have formed with each other and so at this time I want to lend as much of a helping hand as I can. I ask for your help since this hits so close to home for me because I know the families involved with this and they will need as much help as possible; for building supplies, clothes, school supplies and more. I don't know the exact good your donation will go towards, but I am able to guarantee that every cent will go towards helping these families rebuild and get their lives back on track after this tragedy.
The plan is to get the funds to these families as quickly as possble to start the rebuild and I will be sure to posts videos and photos as all of that happens. Again, anything is appreciated to help these families of Current, Eleuthera get their life back to normal so even if you cannot donate, please share if you can. Even a share is important in times like these.
Below will be a link to the local Newspaper artcile on this tragic event that contains even more photos of the situation.

I am looking to spread as much awareness to this as possible. Any little bit helps and can go a long way to helping these families recover and begin the process on rebuilding their homes.
Thank you and God Bless.
