Education Fund for Abby and Leo

On the morning of November 13th 2016 Danielle Maatouk's two and a half year battle with colon cancer came to an end. On her 37th birthday she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer only months after the birth of her second child. Her love for her children and compassion for humankind led her to spend a great deal of time and energy researching the disease and working for patient education and empowerment. She chose to smile and persevere through excrutiating pain so that her children could experience as much of life as possible with her by their side, knowing all the while that she would most likely have to miss out on the thing she cherished most, watching them learn, grow and experience life. Danielle came alive when she became a mother and enjoyed that role in life more than any other. We have set up this page to support the continued education of her loving children, Abby and Leo.
