An Appeal By Miss World-Cameroon 2014

In July 2014, Miss Larissa Ngangoum was crowned Miss Cameroon World in Yaounde, the Nation's Capital.  Larissa won on a platform and a promise to foster quality education for under privileged children in Cameroon and Promote Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education for young Cameroonian Girls. Larissa will represent Cameroon at Miss World 2014 in London but her Foundation will continue even after the Crown is gone.  Please join Larissa in her journey to educate and empower Children in Cameroon.

Queen Larissa Visits an Orphanage in Douala, Cameroon.

Her Project 'Educate Cameroon Children' was launched in Washington DC in 2013 in Partnership with Youth For Human Rights with an essay contest for students in Cameroon. The winner, Brightwell Nkeng of National Comprehensive High School Limbe, emmerged as the winner and received a scholarship for the 2014 School Yer. He is an Orphan. As Miss Cameroon World, Larissa is extending her outreach to benefit more children like Brightwell across Cameroon from one orphanage to the next, one village to another and from one town to the next, making a difference in children's lives.

Scholarships for Under Privileged

Queen Larissa is going on a Nationwide Tour of Schools in Cameroon, starting Sept 2014 where she will visit various schools across the nation, awarding scholarships and also giving talks to students and sharing her own educational experience from attending elementary school in Yaounde to being a 4th year student in Pharmacy School.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Awards (STEM AWARDS FOR GIRLS)
Queen Larissa will also Launch the Larissa Ngangoum STEM Awards in various schools across the nation  to honor and encourage young Cameroonian Girls who excel in STEM. She Plans to spend time with students in their Science and Technology Classes and share her own experience as a Cameroonian Girl excelling in Sciences. There is a huge gap in the percentage of boys pursuing STEM pathways in Schools than girls, she wants to bridge that gap by encouraging more girls to take on STEM.

Your kind and generous donations will help Queen Larissa impact the lives of underprivileged children and pave a pathway for young Cameroonian girls to excel in STEM.

Please note that no amount is too small, every little helps keep a child in the Classroom or a girl in the Science Lab. Updates on Larissa's Nationwide Tour of Schools which kicks off September 16 2014 will be reported here as it Happens.
