Provision for the Vision

In 2013, I, Mareshia Rucker, successfully planned and hosted my high school's first integrated prom. With the help of my best friend, Quanesha Wallace, I made a long overdue racial issue come to the forefront, and decided that the class of 2013 would not have seperate proms. You can find our facebook page here Prom Facebook Page . During this process, the prom recieved worldwide attention. As a result of that, we were privileged enough to be asked by the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, to be a featured exhibit. The museum also wrote a blog about our cause: CMHR Prom Blog .The latest endeavor is traveling to Canada for the grand opening. They would like for the individual contributors of the top ten stories to be present. This includes us! Unfortunately, we are short on monitary resources and are unable to pay for this trip ourselves. We are reaching out in order that we can raise enough money to attend this upcoming event in Canada. It would truly be an honor.
