Sweeney Todd at Eureka College

Donation protected
Hi, all! I am Isabella Anderson, a current junior at Eureka College; I am working on my senior capstone project, which is directing the fall musical here at EC. The musical in question is the Sondheim horror hit: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. While it is unheard of at larger colleges and universities for students to have the opportunity to direct and produce their own show, I currently have the opportunity to do so right here in central Illinois with the help of my Assistant Director:

Hello everyone! My name is Ellie Gray;  I am also a junior at Eureka College, and I will be Bella’s Assistant Director for this show. While my studies have nothing to do with theatre, I am still in love with the theatrical and musical arts, especially when it comes to Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I have been in love with this musical ever since I watched Tim Burton’s movie rendition when I was twelve, and it has been a dream of mine for a long time to be a part of this production.

This dream has one catch: budget. For two years, Ellie and I, along with our faculty advisors, have tried to make this show a reality. However, Ellie and I are already students relying heavily on family and on scholarships to attend Eureka, and therefore, we cannot attain the funds to produce this show on our own. Please, if you’d like to support fine arts, if you’d like to support a liberal arts college, or if you’d like to support two women with a vision, then please donate.

Thank you!
