Hello, my name is Kirsten Milliron, and I am an incurable autodidact.
Since a very young age I have always strived to teach myself as many things as possible, and I always leaned towards all things creative and technological. By my 11th birthday, I was designing CSS stylesheets for my friends' Xanga and MySpace accounts. By my 13th, I was making logos for my friends' bands. Eventually, by my 19th birthday I was teaching myself how to format books for self-publishing. You guessed it, for a friend.
Now, with all of these skills I've built up over the years, I would like to start my own publishing company, tentatively named Shadow House Publishing. I have several books lined up to be published, each in a varying state of completion. I want to start this company to not only bring tales of a darker variety to the 16 and up demographic, but I want to create a great publishing community where authors and readers can actively work together on developing the artist, and not just using them for a quick paycheck.

Books, and their states of progression, include;
Violet and The Endwar Series. Violet is the first book in a young adult series about a young girl who suddenly gets the oddest urges to kill... She finds is half demon, and the only half demon in existence working for the righteous side of an invisible yet on-going war between angels and demons. (Second book is being written. Four books planned in total.)
The Falsehood of Reality. The opening chapter of this one shows our main character in shackles. Vampire by birth, Nina Matthews risks death to escape captivity after overhearing a plan to hurt those that she loves. The next chapter goes back 16 years to where this all began. (Currently being editted and formatted.)
The Dead Road. Zombie survival. (Currently being written.)
In Empty Houses. Tales and poems of all things dark, empty, and haunting. 90% of the sales will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. (Currently accepting submissions.)
Castles. Think Alice in Wonderland meets Pan's Labyrinth. In a world run by demon incarnations of sin, one girl sets of to find what she believes is a hidden eight entity called Hope, with the intent of asking it for a cure for her brother. The only place she could think to look is in the abandoned eight castle, locked by seven locks, openable only by keys in the hands of each of the seven sins. (Currently being written.)
The Mark. In a future ruled by religion, the theocracy decrees anyone with the Mark must be executed. One boy, son of council members who show no mercy, even for their children, finds a mysterious mark slowly growing on his stomach. It can only be the Mark. He must flee the comforts of society, or risk his own death. (Currently being written.)
