What an amazing 2017 "This is Treatment" has had! This past April, through the kindness of 83 generous people, I was able to bring my cast and crew of 14 to New York City! We performed in front of producers, theater companies, folks living in treatment, friends and colleagues. It was a tremendous experience.
Now, I am gearing up to take another leap of faith and start my company, THIS IS TREATMENT INC. This new labor of love will be dedicated to the arts, holistic recovery, entrepreneurship and building community. It will act as an incubator for new artists and entrepreneurs, we will offer workshops on various topic, we will produce new works by up and coming artists, provide entrepreneurial skills to those rebuilding their lives, and offer an online community that will provide various kinds of resources for the public. This is indeed a big leap for me.
To launch the company, I am holding our inaugural event called "Revive!" on Saturday, September 30th at the Space in Jamaica Plain. This will be an all day event featuring workshops, arts, performances, and a dance party. This is a free event and it is open to the public. Eventually, this event will become a 3 day festival every September in celebration of recovery month.
As of right now, I am the sole producer on this show but eventually, I would like to have sponsors and partners so I can make this event free every year. Because of that, I still need your help.
