They say that if you aren't working on your dream you are working on someone else's dream. I've helped make the dreams of others come true for many years, mentoring nonprofit founders, launching regional branches of businesses, training teachers to be more effective.

Now its my turn.

I am starting a Pop Art and Culture Enrichment Program for youth.  The program will partner with school districts, charter schools, parks and recreation programs and other community based settings to offer enrichment classes afterschool. 

For the past years, I've been working with Devin McKenna- Mystic Twisticand author Jenn Czepiel


Together we've been able to turn Mystic Twistics Cardboard Wings and Robots into introduction to engineering workshops and Jenn's passion for Pirates into Pirate Science Classes. We've done these programs under the auspices of other organizaitons and they have been very well received. Now its time to turn our joint efforts into a real business. 

Devin creates the pieces which I then purchase for use in the program. Jenn and I work together to create the curricula and provide the programming. With their creativity and my expertise in youth programming and business development, I believe we have a winning business. Our only barrier is our insurance.


In order to work with children, a company needs more than general liability insurance, it needs professional liability that protect against child abuse accusations. The cost of this policy is $1900. This requires a down payment of $635 and monthly payments from there. We cannot begin to generate an income without the down but once we have the policy we'll be able to make the monthly payments. It's a very specific campaign for a very specific reason. With the policy we'll be able to launch our programming in schools, provide part time employment for local teaching artists that will allow them to continue pursuing their art, and improve the quality of youth arts and culture experiences in out of school time. 

If we are able to raise the funds for the downpayment on the policy our next step will be to raise the funds to cover the policy for 1 year.

If we are able to raise the funds to cover the insurance for a year we'll then work to raise funds to cover the development of marketing collateral for the program.
