31 Pigs from Lab Need a New Barn!

New Life Animal Sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of any animals retired from experimentation. Recently, 31 Gottingens mini-pigs were released to us from a lab in the San Francisco Bay Area after they'd spent their entire lives in cold, sterile cages, being poked and prodded, and never even seeing the light of day.
Originally, we were asked to take 4, then 18, then 30, and we only had 24 hours to go get them. Even as we were loading the piggies up, lab representatives asked us to take one more, the lone boy, now named Hayden. We were determined not to leave anyone behind so, with the help of Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary (currently fostering half of the piggies), we pulled it off without a hitch and are calling the rescue "No Pig Left Behind!"
We are not currently set up for such a large influx of farmed animals but we have plenty of room to build and are excited to do so! The National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) Sanctuary Fund is generously providing us a $5000 grant to get started building a barn for the new piggies! If we can raise another $10,000, they will give us $5000 more to finish it off!
After all these gentle, intelligent little souls have been through, they deserve to have the barn and pasture of their dreams so that they can live their lives in peace with all the creature comforts and enrichment piggies could ever want! We secured their freedom - now we need YOUR help to povide them the best life possible!!
