At three months of age I was diagnosied with Cystic Fibrosis and almost died due to malnutrition. I have been in and out of the hospital my whole life, starting at age 5, again at 10, and and then after age 15. Each year I have spent more and more time in the hospital. I had a son at age 27 and then again at 30. My disease worsened after age 30 and my lungs are now at 25%. I am now in need of a lung transplant, as I am sure you are aware, the cost is astrinomical. My insurance will pay 80%. My mother and I will have to stay in Cleveland for 3 days for testing and doctor visits. If they accept me, there will be several test and trips to Ohio and we will have to eventually relocate at one point. Any financial help you can give us will allow us to meet some goals and help with some of the stress. I have missed many holidays with my kids and will continue until I get the new lungs. I missed my oldest son's last day of school for preschool. This is my one time chance to extend my life with a new set of lungs. If this doesn't happen I will miss everything in my boys life, their graduation, their marriage, grandbabies, my husband will be left as a only parent. He will lose the love of his life and partner. My life right now is hard, I can't play with my kids or do many family things together. Any help you can give would help my boys keep their mom, and my husband.
