Over the last 3 years I've been blessed to have studied the art and science of Midwifery to varrying levels of intensity. Over the last year I've been studying full time at Maternidad La Luz, a birth center and school here in El Paso, TX. My time here is coming to an end and I'm looking forward to starting a short time assisting local midwives as they transition through a busy season of births and I get ready to take my certification exam with the North American Registry of Midwives.
But I need your help. I have had no shortage of supporters over these last three years and have been amazed at God's provision but I'm choosing to ask a wider group of people to help me in these last few steps toward becoming a Certified Professional Midwife. Please consider donating to help me finish this chapter in my midwifery journey.
What would the money be used for?
$1000.00 is used to pay for the certification application and test with NARM.
$150.00 would be for the test site fee.
$650.00 would be for advanced classes taught by local midwives with decades of experience. Suturing, breech, charting, etc.
$350.00 would be for gas and car maintenance while I'm commuting back and forth between Las Cruces, El Paso and possibly Alamogordo and Truth or Consequences attending births with some lovely homebirth midwives and finishing up at Maternidad La Luz.
$1000.00 and any amount above the goal would be used toward starting my midwifery supply bag (doppler, stethescope, bp cuff, fetoscope, etc.)
