Help 10 "Special Need" Dancers

Point Performing Arts is offering a class for children with special needs. I would like to get the children sponsers so they could take the class for free. The money would cover the dance teacher and assistants pay. Would like to get people to help special needs children to take dance classes. With all their medical expenses the children need an outlet to have some fun. Every $500.00 raised will pay for one child for a year of dance and cover their costume for recital.
Special Olymics is coming to Springfield, MO in 2015 and the children in this class can perform at the Special Olymics, as part of the entertainment.
Classes like this are being offered in Calfornia and New York, so why not in Springfield, MO
“Superstars” Song and Dance class for special needs children.
The purpose of the class is to instill a lifelong love of dance and movement
in each student. The students work on physical stamina, verbalization skills, following directions, and coordinated interaction. They learn ballet movement, For some parents, the class provides a spring board of confidence whereby they
then enroll their children in a dance class for typical children. For others, the safety, therapy, and social networking of the class means the child will continue solely in the Superstars Song and Dance Class. The students work on physical stamina, verbalization skills, following directions, and coordinated
interaction. They learn ballet movement, music appreciation, rhythm and basic dance steps.
